The challenge: convert a spare room/office into a true home theater, with special seating and lighting controls with a limited budget.

The result: We worked closely with the homeowner to select a mix of products to keep under their budget cap. Some examples include opting for manual shade controls for the windows, selecting a DLP based TV instead of a D-ILA based projector, and eliminating a video upscaler. We balanced equipment downgrades with an upgrade to the speakers in order to maintain sound quality. We also worked with their architect to design a simple tiered seating arrangement for that home theater look, and worked with their designer to identify indirect lighting fixtures to invoke the right atmosphere.
